Peppermint, Peanut & Pretzel Dark Chocolate Bark

Peppermint Bark

Chocolate bark is such an easy treat to make! The toppings are endless! I made Peppermint, Peanut and Pretzel Dark Chocolate Bark for this Christmas! I am sure everyone will be thrilled… You can’t go wrong with peppermint, peanuts and pretzels all in one bite…..with chocolate!

Peppermint Bark

This bark is so easy to make. Start by creating a double boiler using a small to medium sauce pot. Fill with water and turn to medium heat. Place a large glass bowl on top. This will allow the chocolate to melt. But be sure the bowl is not touching the water. The chocolate could burn!

Add your chocolate and coconut oil to the glass bowl. Slowly, mix the chocolate around until it begins to melt. It should take about 8 minutes for it to be completely smooth.

In the mean time, prep your baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, chop all the toppings.

Once the chocolate is smooth, pour it over the baking sheet. Smooth the top all the way to the sides of the pan. You should have a nice and thin layer.

Now for the fun part……sprinkle all the toppings on! Peppermints, peanuts and pretzels! I usually press down on the big pieces, that way they down fall off once the chocolate hardens. Sprinkle a small amount of sea salt on top.

Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes, making sure the chocolate is 100% hard. Break apart the bark and serve. You can also package the bark in little baggies like I did below!

Peppermint Bark

I packaged my bark into little cellophane bags to give as little gifts for Christmas! You can buy the bags at your nearest craft store in the baking section. They come with twist ties, or tie the bags with your favorite ribbon! Your friends and family will love it! They make the perfect gift treat!
