18 Nights in O’ahu

The weather has been so weird in New Jersey lately. We had a staggered few beautiful 80 degree days, then down to 30 degrees with 35 mph winds. Crazy, right?? Seems I’m either reaching for a blanket or walking around in flip flops! But I thought this would be a good time to look back and finally share our 18 night honeymoon spent in Oahu! I still can’t believe it’s been six months since we jetted off to Hawaii.

When we planned our honeymoon, we knew we wanted to spend some time in Ko’olina at the gorgeous and new Four Seasons O’ahu resort. Well……we kinda didn’t leave! Only to come home to New Jersey, of course. We had plans of staying on the North Shore, as well as, visiting Maui. But, that all got canceled after we stepped foot on this property! The Four Seasons O’ahu became our home away from home. This resort wasn’t named the top 10 places to visit in 2017 for no reason! We didn’t want to leave!

From the moment you step foot through their doors, you are greeted with the true ALOHA spirit Hawaii is known for. We spent our days lounging by the pool, sipping fruity drinks and snacking on their awesome food! From their gorgeous and lush property, to the delicious to-die-for restaurants. We met so many great people during our stay, that we can not wait to return and make new memories. This was a once in a lifetime honeymoon destination for us! And… we can’t wait to return!

The Fishhouse Taco truck was one of our favorite pit stops! On Tuesday’s they were serving up tacos, oceanside! Perfectly paired with Maui Bikini Blonde’s of course, you couldn’t go wrong with this little afternoon snack!

We enjoyed the sunset near the rocks every night! It was unbelievable to see how different they were each evening. From the color of the sky, to the feeling in the air!

We took a beautiful ride over to the Makapu’u lighthouse, located on the opposite side of the island. We didn’t walk the trails, but we did take a walk down to the tide pools. What a site to see! It was absolutely stunning!

On our last day we visited the little cove right behind the Four Seasons. It’s a private little beach that is harder to walk to since you have to walk along the rocks. (not great in flip flops) But, anyways, we decided to take our last walk over to take in the settings before we headed back home (for good).

We snapped a few photos and right then and there, a few turtles started popping their heads out, swimming up near us. They were feasting in the waters and swimming rapidly with the waves. (if you look close, you can see a head or two popped up)

Until next time O’ahu!
