Grandma Anna’s Tea Time Tessies! Every Christmas we would wait for these mini tasty desserts. It was a must have in our house. Unfortunately, she can no longer make them for us. So I have taken over! She’s proud to have her granddaughter making them now. And….I’m sharing her awesome recipe with you all.

Tea Time Cookies

These tea time tessies are super easy to make. I use thisΒ mini muffin panΒ to make these cookies. It is a great sturdy pan!

Grandma's Tea Time Tessies
Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 3oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
  1. Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream margarine and cream cheese together. Add flour and the dough will form. It will be on the stickier side.
  2. Using a mini muffin pan, lightly spray each hole. Form 1 inch balls and flatten with your palm. Lay in each hole. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
  4. Cream brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Evenly spread a few chopped pecans in each dough hole.
  6. Add sugar mixture to each and then top with more chopped pecans.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm or let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
